Sweet Love
By: Kathryn O.
The world couldn’t see
How you loved tenderly
Your touch started a fire
Of burning desire
Parting was always sweet sorrow
But we always had tomorrow
To feel your hold so strong
I knew that I belonged
You were thought to be a boy
But oh the joy
The simple things for me were best
Save the flashy for the rest
I’ll never know [...]

Now that your gone
I will always long
To feel you by my side
The waves of sadness I will ride
Our commitment I’ll continue to abide
My heart is broken and will never mend
I will continue to love you to the end
I pray we’ll be together again some day
I’ll keep my wanting to join you now at bay
There [...]
Dancing with a Dream

Dancing with a Dream
As you fell into my arms
A perfect fit
The feeling, felt so right
We gazed into each others eyes
We knew it
As we grasped each other
And held so tight.
The pounding of our hearts
Beating to the melody
Of Sinatra crooning
“I’ll never smile again.”
The smile was there
For fifty six years
Suddenly the music stopped,
You left
Called home.
Now
I’m all alone.
Awaiting my [...]

Goodbye Michael
A star has been plucked from the sky.
The sky is now dimmer.
It happened on June 25th.
A day, we will always remember.
Never again to see Michael’s smile light up the skies.
Never again to see him moonwalk across the stage as his fans cries.
Never again to hear him sing Billie Jean.
To the roaring sound of his [...]

For Farrah (Fawcett)
A great beauty has passed from this life.
Of good times and sometimes toil and strife.
Some will say that she went to a better place.
Look at the blue sky or a white cloud, you will still see her face.
Movements like those of a gazelle in flight.
Hair that shone like gold on a moonlit night.
Eyes [...]
Empty Room
Empty Room To my love while where’re apart I wake up nightly in the dark I reach to find you… but you’re not there Your beautiful smell has left the air Now my room is dark and lonely I start to cry for my one and only I close my eyes to see your face Then back to sleep with no embrace My dreams [...]The End

It all started when in at five past midnight
Now I am lying stiff and cold
Deep in troubled dreamless sleep.
Cotton wool stuffed in my nostrils,
I cannot breathe.
A rag tightening my jaws together,
I cannot protest.
My feet bound together,
Surely there is no escape this time round.
Granny chose they dress me up in my favourite suit,
But this time there [...]
How to Forget
The school of time preaches the art of remembering But souls I’ve crossed crave the art of forgetting And though they say time fades memories ‘Tis not an absolute truth For time reinforces, remembers ever so much more For that which you own, not time nor fate can rob it No event can change it, no circumstance deny it But it is [...]Tales from the Crypt

Once upon a weary night
Whence old moon pondered
Burning away her silver light
In days of yore she hath decorated
Perched amongst the wandering craven
Weaved tales of tales begotten
“Look on thy lands so tender
They speaketh unto minds moved
Of streaming springs and bitter kings
That hath paved the path of yore
To man his own vengeance and pride
That bloometh redder still [...]
